First Location shoot
Yesterday was the first location shoot for our music video; we planned to film in the central London, based around the London Bridge. Although we did manage to film a few shots of both Katherine and Dean, (acting as out music video’s couple) we found that it wasn’t such a good place to film as there was limited space available due to the amount of public passing us.
After managing to get the key shots we wanted, we later moved on some of the backstreets of Moorgate, where we managed to gather plenty more shots as this was an all-round better location for quality and for keeping the equipment we had on us safe.
This is where we filmed Katharine acting for the first shot in our video as a homeless, vulnerable young woman, crouching down in a back alley.
To get the best quality shots we used long shots, mid shots, low angled shots, high angle shots and close ups, we didn’t use any zoom with the video camera as we knew that we could get better results from editing using Adobe CS3 Premier Pro. The footage that we gathered where completely as drafted out before hand and should be easy to assemble and edit for the final product.
